Eye tracking observers during color image evaluation tasks

چکیده
Eye movement behavior was investigated for image-quality and chromatic adaptation tasks. examined the differences between paired comparison, rank order, and graphical rating tasks, and t examined the strategies adopted when subjects were asked to select or adjust achromatic regio indicate that subjects spent about 4 seconds looking at images in the rank order task, 1.8 seconds pe comparison task, and 3.5 seconds per image in the graphical rating task. Fixation density maps correlated highly in four of the five images. Eye movements gravitated toward faces and s introspective report was not always consistent with fixation density 5% of the time), they did so early. Foveations were directed to semantic features to adapt to the averag were directed to near-neutral regions, showing behavi

Eye Tracking Observers During Rank Order, Paired Comparison, and Graphical Rating Tasks
In studying image quality and image preference it is necessary to collect psychophysical data. A variety of methods are used to arrive at interval scale values which indicate the relative quality of images within a sample set. The choice of psychophysical technique is based on a number of criteria, including the confusion of the sample set, the number of samples to be used, and attempts to mini...
متن کاملA New Method for Eye Detection in Color Images
The problem of eye detection in face images is very important for a large number of applications ranging from face recognition to gaze tracking. In this paper we propose a new algorithm for eyes detection. First, the face region is extracted from the image by skin-color information. Second, horizontal projection in image is used to approximate region of the eye be obtained . At last, the eye ce...

متن کاملPoint-of-gaze analysis reveals visual search strategies
Seemingly complex tasks like visual search can be analyzed using a cognition-free, bottom-up framework. We sought to reveal strategies used by observers in visual search tasks using accurate eye tracking and image analysis at point of gaze. Observers were instructed to search for simple geometric targets embedded in 1/f noise. By analyzing the stimulus at the point of gaze using the classificat...
متن کاملWAYLA - Generating Images from Eye Movements
We present a method for reconstructing images viewed by observers based only on their eye movements. By exploring the relationships between gaze patterns and image stimuli, the “What Are You Looking At?” (WAYLA) system learns to synthesize photo-realistic images that are similar to the original pictures being viewed. The WAYLA approach is based on the Conditional Generative Adversarial Network ...
